Michele’s Story

As a young child, I wanted to be a math teacher and make a difference in the lives of others.  As I went through school, math was a big strength of mine, which led me to a career in the Accounting field.  While attending high school, I had the honor of landing a job with a small accounting firm. This job provided me the opportunity to try out accounting, and I found that I loved the job.  This led me to graduating with my Master of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix and a Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in Accountancy.

I spent 26 years in the Accounting field.  I worked as a small business bookkeeper with an accounting firm for 18 years, which led to working in several small business environments and ended in a Native American Government.

While working at the Native American Government, I discovered my true passion of helping others.  During this time, I participated in a Dale Carnegie class with the goal of working on my leadership skills.  Through this class, I learned much more than leadership skills. I learned that I added value to others through the experiences that I shared during our weekly speeches.  After the class commenced, I volunteered to be a Graduate Assistant. As a Graduate Assistant, I continued to add value to others and began to realize what a difference I was making in the lives of others.  This realization led me to becoming Certified Coach, Speaker, and Trainer with the John Maxwell Team.

In April 2018, I said goodbye to my co-workers and my job title and became an entrepreneur.   I can say that this was one of the best decisions in my life. I wear a smile on my face and I can now choose how I want to impact the lives of others.

Through the various volunteer opportunities, I discovered that empowering women and empowering children are my mission in life.  I want women to feel empowered not only in their homes but throughout their communities. I want to empower children to be leaders of tomorrow.

Today, I empower individuals through various methods.  Personal Growth and Development Training’s are a virtual training in which a small group of individuals read a variety of John Maxwell books and discuss how the teaching impact our lives.  The classes range from four to eight weekly sessions completed in person or virtually, via Zoom or Free Conference Call line, that last approximately one and half hours per week. These are very powerful sessions in which personal growth is incredible.  Personal coaching sessions are another method in which I work one-on-one with people to discover what limiting beliefs are holding them back from becoming their best selves.

I impact children to become leaders as early as kindergarten.  For elementary school children, I can read a book centered around kindness.  After the reading, we discuss how each of them is currently using kindness within their life and how kindness can impact other areas of their lives.  The middle school children can be impacted by John Maxwell’s “iChoose” program. This is a three-year program that teaches children how their choices impact various areas of their lives.  The high school children utilize the John Maxwell book “Sometimes You Win, Sometimes You Learn” to show children how turn a bad situation into a learning situation.
